1.4 - Collecting the radio numbers
All Irricontrol equipment has a radio number. This number can be found inside the equipment, as shown in the following videos:
GPS radio
Irrimesh radio
Always remember to SAVE the radio numbers found inside the GPS and IRRIMESH boxes, as it will be necessary to use them to register at the platform.
2 - GPS Installation
Start by passing the 3-lead cable through the cable gland and connecting to the Wago connection cables, as shown in the picture below. Connect the white wire to 'NEUTRAL', the blue wire to 'GROUND' and the black wire to 'PHASE'.
The other end of the GPS power cable is connected to the terminals of the Last Tower Box of the pivot. The white wire of the power cable must be connected to the terminal corresponding to the Pivot Neutral, and the black wire of the power cable must be connected to the Pivot Safety. Follow the table below for cable connections for each pivot brand. The blue wire must be connected to the grounding of the box.
| Power Supply Cable | Last Tower's Terminals |
| White Wire | Terminal 04 - Pink Wire - Neutral |
| Black Wire | Terminal 08 - Purple Wire - Safety |
The power supply source must be connected to the 127V/220V power grid. Use the 3-lead cable to power the GPS. One way of the cable is for PHASE (1) (127VAC/220VAC), one is for NEUTRAL (2) and the other is for Grounding (3), as shown in the following picture:
If grounding is available in the installation, it must be connected to the Wago connection cable of the green wire (ground) connected to the GPS' power supply source.
The equipment is fixed using the GPS support. It must be installed at the top of the Pivot's last tower, as shown in the picture below. Note that the higher the equipment is installed, the better the communication with other radios.
To install the GPS support, follow the instructions described in the article "How does GPS Kit's support work?", by clicking here.
In case the GPS has a pressure sensor, the installation follow the same instructions listed before, changing only the addition of the sensor that will be detailed below.
On the green connector, in which these wires are connected to the board, there are subtitles "SIGNAL" and "12V", intended for the sensor, right next to the connection points. The pressure sensor supplied by Irricontrol/Bauer has two terminals: one red and one black. You must connect the sensor's red wire to the splicing connector terminal connected to the "12V" output on the board and the sensor's black wire to the splicing connector terminal connected to the "SIGNAL" output of the board, as shown in the picture below.
To install the sensor correctly, first use the thread seal tape. Pass it around the pressure sensor as shown below.
And, then, pass it around the ½’’ to ¾’’ nipple (picture below).
Afterwards, connect the ½’’ to ¾’’ nipple to the ½’’ reducing tee. This procedure is shown in the following picture.
Then, connect the pressure sensor + the 7 meters 3-lead cable, to the nipple with the reducing tee, as shown in the picture below. Numbering the items, we have:
½’’ Reducing Tee;
Pressure Sensor;
½’’ to ¾’’ Nipple.
It is worth mentioning that the pressure sensor must be located on the sprinkler closest to the Last Tower.
3 - Irrimesh Installation
To fix the Irrimesh module, choose a suitable place. Avoid metallic and/or conductive objects towards the antenna, search for a place with visibility for the previous module and for the next one and always point the antenna upwards. Furthermore, don't tension the wiring for a proper connection.
For SmartConnect panels, the equipment is fixed by Irrimesh support bars, which are screwed to the back of the equipment and fixed to the pivot, as shown in the pictures below.
To install the Irrimesh support, follow the instructions found in the article "How does GPS Kit's support work?", by clicking here.
For Nexus panels, Irrimesh is fixed to its tube using D clamps, as shown in the following picture.
At last, the equipment must be connected to the SmartConnect panel by the 6-way terminal connector, as shown in the pictures below.
To connect the Irrimesh to the SmartConnect panel, follow the instructions subsequently. To install it correctly, you need to connect the wires to the 6-way terminal connector. For that, loosen its screws, one by one, as shown in the pictures below.
Connect the wires as shown in the pictures below, paying attention to the order of the colors (red, yellow, pink, green, blue and brown). After that, screw the wires to the connector again.
Finally, after checking if the wires are connected correctly and firmly to the connector, plug them to the Controller, as shown in the following picture.
